A Premio Take on Penne Alla Vodka

Personally I love the versatility of Premio sausages. A little creativity really goes a long way. I went to my local supermarket, which was sold out of the Sweet Italian Sausage Meat I was looking for. All that was available were various Premio Italian Sausages and Sweet Italian Sausage Patties. *A lightbulb went on*

I decided to buy the Sweet Italian Sausage Patties and grind them to make minced meat. And by "grind", I don't mean any intense butcher-style process. I literally just used a fork to mash it up as desired.

Here is my step by step recipe on using Premio's Sweet Italian Sausage Patties to make a remixed (if you will) version of Penne Alla Vodka, avec ravioli.

Here's what you'll need:

+ Premio Italian Sausage Patties (I used 3 patties to be exact)

+ Onion (1/2 small sized)

+ Tomato (1/2 small sized)

+ Seasonings (I used onion powder, seasoning salt, thyme, black pepper and garlic powder)

+ Your favorite Vodka sauce

+ Your favorite Ravioli (I used one with spinach and ricotta (YES, I love cheese)

+ Parmesan cheese (grated)

Serving Size: 4

Prep + Cooking Time: 40-50 mins max.

I started off by placing the 3 Premio Sweet Italian Sausage Patties into a pot, and mashed them up.

Whilst the sausages were cooking, I took the onion and tomato and blended them in a small food processor.

Once the minced sausage meat was closed to cooked, I added in the tomato/onion blend and seasonings. Mix well and cover for about 8-10 mins on medium/low heat.

Uncover and add your favorite vodka sauce. Stir well.

Cover and let simmer.

Cover and let simmer on low heat for 15-20 mins.

Voilà! Dinner is served. For you +3.
